West London outfit Chelsea are reported to be on the verge of sealing a new deal with Brazilian international defender David Luiz with his current deal expected to run out at the end of the season.
David Luiz has been in talks with the club for the past few months, yet an agreement was not reached as he has demanded more than a year’s extension which is being refused.
The West London outfit have got a transfer policy which stops the club from handing more than a year’s contract extension to any player older than 30, not minding his impact at the club but the former PSG defender seeks to be an exemption.
However, the Brazilian international has dropped the hint that there could be a development anytime soon as talks are already ongoing with the club officials.
David Luiz noted that he is in love with the club and will only seek to remain and not move anywhere which is the reason why there might be a development before the end of the season.
However, it is unclear if the Blues are willing to shift ground or the Brazilian international has decided to agree to the term of the club.
