Liverpool get most damning Champions League claim

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has told Liverpool to forget about the Champions League this season and focus attention on the remaining games in the English Premier League so as to stand a better chance of winning the title at the end of the season.

The manager Jurgen Klopp side lost their top sport to Man City at the weekend when they failed to defeat Everton in the Merseyside derby. The Citizens are now a point clear in the league table.

The Reds played a draw against the Toffees to make it the fourth in their last six Premier League games which adds to the worrying facts that they have not scored in the last two games despite the quality of their attacking force.

However, Gary Neville has called on the German boss to do the needful because going by the standing on the table, they must be able to win all games left this season.

While noting that there is a need to also play in the Champions League, the former Red Devils player stated that it could be sacrificed for the Premier League as it is the best bet they have got at the moment.

Meanwhile, manager Jurgen Klopp is optimistic that his side can win the double which will call for no need to sacrifice one for the other.
