Interim Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed that the Red Devils’ dressing room was buzzing after his team came from a goal down to beat struggling Southampton at Old Trafford on Saturday in what’s a Premier League clash.

Solskjaer talked about the mood of the Manchester United dressing room during his post-match thoughts after the Southampton game.

Manchester United won 3-2 to secure a top-four spot ahead of rivals Arsenal who they played in their next league game.

Southampton had taken a first-half lead through Jan Valery with a stunning strike before Andreas Perreira scored a very good goal to level proceedings for the hosts.

Romelu Lukaku added a second goal for Manchester United before James Ward-Prowse scored a magnificent freekick to give Southampton the opportunity of earning a draw.

In-form Belgian international Lukaku, however, had other ideas after netting a late winner for the Red Devils.

Paul Pogba had the chance to extend the 3-2 scoreline after Marcus Rashford was fouled in the Southampton box but his penalty was saved by Saints goalkeeper Angus Gunn.

The win was a perfect dress rehearsal for Manchester United ahead of the Champions League last 16 second leg clash with French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
