Liverpool and Everton will clash in the Merseyside derby later this weekend at the Goodison Park with lots of expectations ahead of the game but the Reds’ fans have been told reasons why they should not be worried about the game.

The Reds hope to secure a win to enable them to retain their position at the top of the league table as they are currently on the log with a point clear ahead of Man City.

It would be recalled that the first derby which was played at the Anfield proved to be difficult for Jurgen Klopp’s side as they were able to steal a win in the final minutes of the game through a goal by Divock Origi who came in from the bench.

However, Sky Sports football pundit, Paul Merson has stated that the fans have got no need to worry because  Everton is no threat to Liverpool at the moment.

While playing down the competition in the game, Paul Merson stated that there is need for Jurgen Klopp’s side to secure a win at all cost if they must retain their spot on the league table.

Liverpool are hoping they win their first EPL title since 1990 when they last won it.
