Liverpool star defender Virgil Van Dijk has been tipped to be named this season’s PFA Player of the Year by his teammate Andy Robertson.
Virgil Van Dijk has been impressive so far since joining Liverpool from Southampton in the last summer transfer window. He has been hailed and rated by pundits, fans and his teammates for a good job at the Anfield.
Bookmakers have also rated the Dutch defender as the best English Premier League player this season ahead of Man City’s Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and David Silva as well as his teammate Mohamed Salah who was the winner last season.
Andy Robertson is latest to make a claim on the defender by stating that there is no need for whatsoever debate as it is obvious that Virgil Van Dijk has given the best so far this season.
According to Robertson, Virgil Van Dijk will be handed the honour should the season end today bit noted that with the 10 games until the end of the season, a player could step up and deliver a better performance than his teammate.
However, he affirmed that there are no signs that Virgil Van Dijk is giving a relaxed performance as he has always improved and played better with each game coming.
