German Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig have handed hope to English Premier League outfit Liverpool that star player Timo Werner is still available and not taken by Bayern Munich as earlier reported.
It would be recalled that it was recently claimed that Bayern Munich have agreed on a deal with RB Leipzig for the signature of the star player but that has been confirmed to be untrue with the club making it clear that he is still available but for no cheap price.
Timo Werner who has a contract with the German outfit until 2020 has been impressive for his side, scoring a total of 14 goals and two assists in 25 games across all competitions.
The star player could not be available to the Merseyside outfit should they make meaningful efforts to land him on the asking price that would be named by the club before the open of the summer transfer window.
This is after RB Leipzig CEO Dietrich Mateschitz told the press that any suitor will have to pay a huge sum.
However, the Reds are hoping that Timo Werner is able to bring in more competition to Mohamed Salah and also add strength to the team.
