Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann has named Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Frenkie De Jong as the best player the has played against.
French World Cup winner Griezmann made this known in an interview with Oh My Goal as he revealed that he was unable to put pressure on the Dutch international star when he faced him during the UEFA Nations League.
France and the Netherlands met in Group A of League A in the UEFA Nations League on two occasions as the Dutch team qualified for the semifinal of the competition ahead of the world champions.
The French team won their home leg 2-1 before the Dutch team avenged that loss by beating the world champions 2-0 at the Amsterdam Arena in Amsterdam.
Frenkie De Jong played a major role for the Dutch national team in their run to the last four of the UEFA Nations League and he was linked with major European clubs including Premier League giants Manchester United.
In the end, Barcelona saw off competition from Manchester United and others to sign the talented midfielder in a deal worth €75m.
The 21-year-old will join Barcelona in the summer meaning that he will spend the rest of this season at Dutch club Ajax.
