Italian Serie A club AS Roma are desperate to offer ‘in demand’ midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo a new contract at the club.
Roma officials want to tie him down to a new contract at the club following his impressive debut campaign for the Champions League campaigners.
Zaniolo, 19, has been in superb form since he made his debut for Roma in September.
The young Italian midfielder joined AS Roma as part of the swap deal that saw Belgian international player Radja Nainggolan leave the club for Rome in a €33m.
Roma were said to have paid just €4m for him.
Nicolo Zaniolo came to the fore on the worldwide stage when he scored a second-half brace to give AS Roma a 2-1 lead over FC Porto in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 and ahead of the second leg billed to hold in Portugal on March 6.
Zaniolo is already attracting the interest of clubs like Paris Saint Germain (PSG), Juventus and North London giants Arsenal who will need a new midfield replacement for Aaron Ramsey.
Welsh international star Ramsey will leave Arsenal for Juventus in the summer having already signed a pre-contract agreement worth a whopping £400,000 on a weekly basis.
