Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah has reportedly been linked with a summer move to North London giants Arsenal.
According to soccersouls, a transfer for the 6ft 5in defender will boost the Gunners’ defensive stability.
Arsenal have been very poor on the defensive front this season though it must be pointed out that club manager Unai Emery has had to deal with a lot of injury problems.
Young English centre-back Rob Holding was having a good season for Arsenal until injury struck.
The former Bolton Wanderers player has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury.
Spanish international right-back Hector Bellerin will also miss the remainder of this season after suffering a serious knee injury in last month’s Premier League home clash with London rivals Chelsea.
Last summer’s signing, Sokratis Papasthathopoulos has been ruled out for a month after the Greek defender sustained an ankle injury against Manchester United in the FA Cup.
Arsenal have conceded a whopping 36 goals in just 25 games in the league this term and this represents an area where Jonathan Tah can help improve the team.
German international Tah has been in very good form for Bayer Leverkusen this season and he has a contract until the summer of 2023.
