There seems to be a twist in what should be expected from the English Premier League leaders Liverpool as regards the January winter transfer window which expects to run out at the end of the month.

The Reds boss Jurgen Klopp earlier establish that his side will not be active in the January window as he is happy with his squad and not ready to cause any distraction in his team.

He, however, hinted that a transfer decision could only be made if an emergency situation arises knowing that he needs a big squad to be able to maintain the lead until the end of the season.

It was expected that the emergency situation would be made known with the injury crisis that hit the team with Joe Gomez and Joel Matip out of the team due to injury but the German boss made it clear that he will not rush to the market.

But the latest report claims that the former Borussia Dortmund boss is now willing to add a ‘readily available’ player who can also play as a central defender.

It is also reported that the Merseyside team are open to a loan move as they might not necessarily secure a big addition.
