Premier League giants Manchester United have been handed a big transfer boost following the news that French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) have pulled out of the race to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
Manchester United have made Koulibaly their top defensive target ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
According to the publication from Birmingham Mail, PSG have pulled out of the race to sign the Senegalese national team defender because of its financial demands.
Earlier reports had claimed that it would take at least £90m to sign the 27-year-old in the summer.
Napoli are not desperate to sell Koulibaly and would definitely hold out for as much money as possible for the defender.
Kalidou Koulibaly is widely regarded as one of the best centre back in world football.
He has been a key player for Napoli since he joined the Italian Serie A outfit from Belgian top flight side Genk in 2014.
His Napoli form has attracted the attention of a lot of European heavyweights including Manchester United and PSG.
Other clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal have been previously linked with him although the Gunners might not have the required cash to pull off a deal for the African star.
