Premier League top four contenders Manchester United have learnt the amount of money that would be enough to prise their top defensive transfer target away from his club.

The Red Devils have made the signing of a new centre back their top priority ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

It’s an open secret that Manchester United have been average at best defensively this season after conceding 35 goals in just 24 league games this season.

Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly has been made the top defensive priority at Manchester United.

The 27-year-old is widely regarded by many as one of the best centre back on the European football stage.

Kalidou Koulibaly has been a key performer for Napoli since signing for the Italian Serie A club from Belgian club Genk.

His former agent Bruno Satin spoke about him in his recent interview with French news outlet Canal+ as he ruled out Paris Saint Germain (PSG) out of the race for him.

According to him, PSG have many central defenders and that they won’t be ready to pay the money required to sign him in the summer.

He revealed that any interested club will need at least €100m (£87.5m) to secure his transfer from Napoli.
