Spanish La Liga giants Sevilla are eyeing a possible transfer for Arsenal defender Konstantinos Mavropanos in the January transfer window.

Reports emanating from the Spanish media claim that the former Europa League winners have been impressed with the young Greek centre back and would like to sign him.

The interest of Sevilla in Mavropanos was revealed by Estadio Deportivo via the Daily Star.

Konstantinos Mavropanos has impressed a great deal for the Gunners in the handful of appearances that he made before his injury.

Mavropanos made three appearances for Arsenal last season after joining from Greek side PAS Giannina in January 2018.

He was widely praised for his performance during his Gunners debut in what ended in a 2-1 away defeat at the hands of top four rivals Manchester United.

Konstantinos Mavropanos has not played for Arsenal since manager Unai Emery took charge of the team in the summer.

The Greek centre back has missed the entirety of the season till date as a result of a groin injury.

It is highly unlikely that Arsenal will sanction his sale with the several injury worries facing Unai Emery at the club.

Mavropanos could be in line for a return to the team for the London Derby with Fulham.
