Former Manchester United player Bryan Robson has urged the club to give midfielder Ander Herrera a new deal thus securing his long-term future at Old Trafford.
In a chat with the Manchester Evening News (MEN), ex-Manchester United and England skipper Robson was adamant that Ander Herrera deserves a new deal.
He believes that Ander Herrera brings out the best in star player Paul Pogba in the Manchester United midfield.
Spanish international Ander Herrera has enjoyed a new lease of life under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer since the ex-Manchester United striker was named the interim Red Devils boss in December.
Solskjaer replaced the sacked Jose Mourinho who was responsible for the worst Premier League start in the Red Devils’ history.
Ander Herrera was signed by Manchester United in the summer of 2014 in a deal worth £29m.
He joined from Spanish La Liga outfit Athletic Bilbao and the player has been linked with a return to the club.
The Spaniard has not enjoyed a continuous run in the Manchester United team since his arrival until now.
Ander Herrera could leave Manchester United in the summer with just six months left on his present contract with the club.
Under the new management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Manchester United have been flawless winning eight and playing a draw in nine games under former Red Devils striker Solskjaer.
