Heerenveen attacker and Chelsea target Arber Zeneli has dumped the interest from the English Premier League outfit to join Stade Reims, it has been confirmed.
This remains a setback to the West London side who are interested in securing the signature of the star player as a replacement for both Brazilian Willian and Spanish Pedro.
The Blues boss Maurizio Sarri had identified Arber Zeneli has a player with great potential and was ready to do all it takes to have him switch to the Stamford Bridge but that wish has now hit the rock bottom.
There is no doubt about the lack of cutting edge in the Blues team owing to the goal drought from the strikers which is the reason why options are needed to be able to win the competition for the top four spots so as to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
However, the West London side have secured the signature of Argentina international Gonzalo Higuain to help strengthen the attack but there is still need for more additions from the side.
Meanwhile, Arber Zeneli left his club to join Stade Reims for a fee of £4 million and he is expected to continue his progress at the club.
