Former Arsenal defender Lauren Etame Meyer has revealed that Gunners’ transfer target Yannick-Ferreira Carrasco can only join the club on one condition.
Ex-Cameroonian international right-back Lauren talked about Carrasco and Arsenal during his latest interview with Bwin.
Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco plays his club football for Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang at the moment and he has been heavily linked with a move to North London giants Arsenal.
The Gunners are one of several clubs interested in the Belgian international attacker.
Carrasco, 25, is keen to return to Europe after one year in China and he has been attracting the interest of clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United and AC Milan.
On the former AS Monaco player, Lauren said that Carrasco will have to take a pay cut to join Arsenal in this winter transfer window.
The player is said to be on weekly wages of £300,000 following his move to China in February 2018.
Yannick-Ferreira Carrasco was an important player in the Atletico Madrid team under Diego Simeone before he swapped Spain for China last year.
The player could be a direct replacement for Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck who has been ruled out of action for the rest of this season after suffering a serious ankle injury.
