Former Premier League goalkeeper Shaka Hislop has thrown his weight behind Arsenal’s reported move for Belgian international winger Yannick Ferreira Carrasco.
The footballer turned pundit spoke about Arsenal and the former Atletico Madrid player while he was on ESPN.
According to him, the Carrasco move to Arsenal has a potential to be hugely successful.
Carrasco is unhappy in China and ready to move back to Europe if various media reports are anything to go by.
He currently plays for Dalian Yifang in the Chinese Super League after his expensive move from Atletico Madrid earlier in the year.
Yannick Ferreira Carrasco has scored five goals and provided eight assists in 20 appearances since making his debut for the Chinese club in March.
He has been influential in the team’s recent run of six wins from eight games though the team is still in 10th spot on the 16-team league table.
Arsenal have started the new season very well following a run of seven successive victories in all competitions but Carrasco would still be a fantastic addition to the squad.
There is a lack of natural winger in the team and Carrasco could seamlessly full that void in Unai Emery’s team.
