North London giants Arsenal have reportedly submitted a loan bid to take Barcelona winger Malcom on loan for the rest of the season.
This is according to the publication from The Sun which claimed that Arsenal have made a late approach for the Brazilian player.
Arsenal had earlier open talks with the La Liga champions over another player but the Gunners are struggling to agree to terms with the Catalans.
Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez is eager to work with Arsenal manager Unai Emery again but his transfer is still far from being concluded.
Negotiations broke down earlier in the week after Arsenal failed to agree to the transfer terms from the Blaugrana.
Denis Suarez worked with Unai Emery during the 2014/15 season at Spanish La Liga side Sevilla.
The 25-year-old has already told senior Barcelona officials that he wants to join Arsenal.
The Spaniard would rather stay at Barcelona without signing the new contract offered to him if club officials block his move to Arsenal.
Denis Suarez and Malcom have both struggled for minutes at Barcelona this season.
Malcom has been touted as a possible signing for major European clubs like Tottenham Hotspur, AC Milan and Chelsea.
He has played just 147 minutes in both the Champions League and La Liga since his summer move from French club Bordeaux.
