Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has signed a pre-contract agreement with Italian Serie A giants Juventus.

According to Sky Sports, the Welshman signed the contract earlier this week after undergoing his medical with an official announcement expected next month.

Italian champions Juventus have won the race to sign Ramsey ahead of several clubs on the European football scene.

European sides like Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, AS Roma were all interested in the former Cardiff City player.

Aaron Ramsey will leave the Gunners at the end of his contract this summer after senior club officials deemed it fit not to offer him a new deal that would have committed his long-term future to Arsenal.

The Welsh international star has six months left on his Arsenal deal meaning that he can start to negotiate with foreign clubs about a free transfer move this summer.

He has scored four goals in 31 appearances for Arsenal since the start of the season with two goals and six assists in the Premier League alone.

Aaron Ramsey is the longest serving player in the current Arsenal squad after joining the club from newly promoted Premier League side Cardiff City over a decade ago.

He signed for Arsenal in a £5m deal in 2008.
