Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has developed an ‘unexpected’ interest in Club Brugge winger Arnaut Danmark Groeneveld and could be added to his team this month.

The 21-year-old Dutchman made his debut appearance for the Dutch national team last year and he’s been an important part of Brugge’s set up this campaign.

Danjuma has featured in 11 Eredivisie games this term and he has scored four goals with four assists.

His wonderful display at either side of the flank has caught the eyes of many European clubs, including AC Milan and Porto.

AC Milan reportedly offered £9m for his signature last month but the Eredivisie giants turned down the deal, making their intentions to retain his service beyond this season known to the San Siro outfits.

Despite Milan’s failure to lure the youngster to San Siro, Klopp has high hopes of completing his signature this month.

He will count on Virgil Van Dijk, Lovren and Wijnaldum— who are Danjuma’s national teammates — to convince the player on the importance of featuring for the Reds.

According to the Daily Mail, the Anfield outfits are set to offer £10m for the player before this weekend as they want him as Dominic Solanke’s replacement.

However, Danjuma’s move to Anfield looks very much unlikely due to intense competition among Liverpool attackers.

Danjuma may struggle for game-time because of the large pool of established strikers/wingers under Klopp’s guidance.

The Reds are doing great in the League as they comfortably occupy the first position in the League standings with 57 points, four above closest rivals Manchester City.
