Arsenal have all but agreed to a deal to sign Spanish midfielder Denis Suarez from La Liga giants Barcelona in the current January transfer window.
This is according to various media reports emanating from the United Kingdom (UK).
Arsenal have agreed to a loan transfer for the 25-year-old but the Gunners are a long way off from making an announcement due to the disparity in the payment option proposed by both Arsenal and Barcelona.
Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona are keen to insert a clause that will see Arsenal sign Denis Suarez at the end of his loan deal in North London.
On the other hand, the Gunners want an ‘option to buy’ clause in the loan contract that will take former Sevilla star Denis Suarez from Barcelona to Arsenal.
Denis Suarez is said to be pushing for a transfer to Arsenal after getting little playing time under manager Ernesto Valverde at Barcelona.
He has featured heavily in the cup competitions for the five-time European champions this season especially in the Spanish Copa Del Rey.
Denis Suarez is no stranger to Arsenal manager Unai Emery whom the midfielder played for while he was on loan at Spanish La Liga side Sevilla in 2015.
