Spanish Serie A outfit Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has given his stance on the reported transfer of Chelsea star Alvaro Morata to the club.

The former Real Madrid striker has been in poor goalscoring form which is the reason why he is being wanted out by manager Maurizio Sarri in this winter transfer window.

He is being wanted by a number of clubs in the Spanish La Liga with Sevilla also reported being keen on having him as well.

However, with reports linking him to Atletico Madrid, Diego Simeone was approached by journalists to give his reaction on the speculations but he failed to confirm what the situation is at the moment.

According to him, he will not speak on any player who is in contract with another club and will not confirm nor deny the speculations as well.

However, Alvaro Morata’s destination would be known in coming days as it has become obvious he would be leaving the club following reports that his agent had stormed London to hold talks of move with Chelsea.

There are possibilities that he could land in Sevilla as well with keen interest coming from the club who are also in need of top strikers.
