Popular football journalist Chris Parrott has ruled out the possibility of English Premier League outfit Liverpool sealing a move for French Ligue 1 outfit Lyon star Nabil Fekir.

According to the journalist, the chances of having the Reds sign Nabil Fekir this winter transfer window is very slim, noting that there seem not to be any room for him in the manager Jurgen Klopp’s team.

Chris Parrott is of the opinion that Liverpool’s summer signing from Stoke City Xherdan Shaqiri has been brilliant since his coming to the team, stressing that Nabil Fekir will not offer more than what the Swiss international is offering at the moment.

Speaking on Talksport, the journalist maintains that should Liverpool be interested in the signature of Nabil Fekir, it would not be in this winter transfer window because he might not be useful to the Reds team.

He explained that the French Ligue 1 side are already through to the round of 16 which Nabil Fekir is a part of in the Champions League which makes it difficult for him to leave at the moment.

However, he holds the opinion that Liverpool have moved on from their interest for Nabil Fekir in this January winter transfer window.
