English Premier League outfit Chelsea have been linked with a move for Italian Serie A outfit Inter Milan star Mauro Icardi and they are optimistic of a deal in this January winter transfer window.
The Blues have since been delayed by the £100 million asking price for Mauro Icardi with Chelsea representatives of the opinion that the price is too high.
However, the West London side will now land Mauro Icardi with reports according to The Mirror claiming that the Blues owner Roman Abramovich is personally interested in the player.
The report claims that the Stamford Bridge owner will personally meet the asking price in order to bring the Argentina international to the English League.
The Blues have struggled this season and their blunt attack has been pointed to as the reason for their lack of cutting edge with Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud failing to score goals.
On the other hand, the future of Mauro Icardi at the San Siro has been under doubt as he has been linked away with Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid also keen to land him.
If reports of Roman Abramovich are to be believed, Chelsea are set to solve their striking crisis with Mauro Icardi in this winter transfer window.
