Premier League giants Manchester United are ready to propose a swap deal to Fiorentina in their quest to sign one of their star players.
The Red Devils have been long-term admirers of Fiorentina right-back dating back to the Jose Mourinho era at the club.
Manchester United have been boosted by the news that Fiorentina are interested in a move for one of their midfielders as confirmed by Florence-based newspaper La Nazione via the Daily Star and that could be the catalyst needed to speed up a possible transfer for Serbian international defender Nikola Milenkovic.
Manchester United are open to the idea of a player-plus-cash deal that will see Andreas Pereira and Nikola Milenkovic swap clubs.
Earlier reports had stated that interim Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will meet with chief executive Ed Woodward to discuss a potential £45m swoop for Milenkovic.
That transfer fee could potentially be lower with the inclusion of Belgium-born Brazilian midfielder Andreas Pereira.
It remains to be seen whether Andreas Pereira fancies a transfer to Florence with Italian Serie A giants Fiorentina.
The 22-year-old has been attracting the interests of other European heavyweights like Arsenal, Chelsea and Spanish side Valencia.
He’s said to be interested in a club that can offer him more playing opportunities.
