Reports according to Calciomercato reveal that West London side Chelsea are set to go head-to-head with North London side for the signature of Italian Serie A outfit AC Milan star Franck Kessie.
According to the report, Tottenham were alone in the race before they were joined by the West London club for the Ivory Coast international with both sides hoping to land him in this winter transfer window.
Franck Kessie only joined the San Siros ode in 2017 from Atlanta for a fee of about £28 million but there are indications he will not last at the club with a number of interests on the table which could lure him away.
Also, Franck Kessie is Milan’s most rising player at the moment as he has been impressive to have caught this level of attention from big European clubs including Chinese club Beijing Guoan.
However, AC Milan are not ready to talk to any club who will not meet with the £40 million asking price for Franck Kessie knowing that the is highly valued at the club.
Meanwhile, the West London side will have to meet the asking price for Franck Kessie if they must secure his signature with Milan already insisting on £40 million.
