Respected journalist Raphael Honigstein believes that North London giants Arsenal could rival their city rivals Chelsea in the race to sign highly rated Borussia Dortmund forward Christian Pulisic.
According to him, Arsenal could sign the young forward because of his marketing value in the United States of America.
Gunners’ American owner Stan Kroenke is not a newbie to the huge financial market in the US and he could splash the cash on Christian Pulisic for that singular reason.
Raphael Honigstein made this known on popular media outlet ESPN via Football London.
Recent reports revealed that Chelsea have agreed to a summer move for Pulisic in a deal reported to be around £45m.
Stan Kroenke and Arsenal will need to at least match that bid or surpass it if they want to beat London rivals Chelsea to the signing of the American attacker.
Manchester United and Liverpool are also interested in the player who has become one of the most sought-after young talents on the European football stage.
He has not had a very good season till date after losing his starting spot in the Borussia Dortmund team under new manager Lucien Favre.
Christian Pulisic has had to play second fiddle to the likes of Jadon Sancho and Johann Brunn Larsen who have been in great form for the Bundesliga leaders this term.
