English Premier League leaders have been linked with German international Timo Werner for some weeks now but latest development hints that the interest in him has been ended with Chelsea’s signature of Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday.

Timo Werner was a big option for the Reds who is valued at about £36 million and they were confident of securing his signature before the end of his contract which ends in 2020.

However, a similar player and another better option in the American international was announced by the West London side which means that the Merseyside club have no intention to secure the signature of any player as such.

Although manager Jurgen Klopp has hinted that he will not be fully involved in the winter transfer window as he noted that he could only be forced if there is an emergency situation and that has yet to happen.

The Reds team are tipped to be the most complete side and with their great form, the German manager will not want to do anything that will tamper with the shape of the team as he keeps hope alive that they will keep flying and maintain their six point lead in the league table.
