English Premier League leaders Liverpool are set to wrap up their first deal in the winter transfer market with striker Dominic Solanke reportedly to be on his way to Crystal Palace after he had a successful medical.

The 21-year-old had insisted on leaving the Anfield as a result of his lack of playing time and inability to break into the first team which makes him linked to a number of clubs.

He has been identified by Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson as a good addition to his side for the further winter transfer with the boss making it known to talkSPORT that they expect to have Dominic Solanke as an addition to the team.

Dominic Solanke’s move was also earlier predicted by Palace chairman Steve Parish that there would be an addition in the winter window which starts in January.

However, the Merseyside club have made it clear that they will do all it takes to have new additions arrive early in January so as to have a better second half of the season.

However, the deal is expected to be a loan move as Liverpool will not be willing to let him leave on a permanent basis because he has been identified as part of the club’s future.
