Interim Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have a sizeable transfer fee to spend on transfers when the transfer window reopens at the start of next month.

Solskjaer will be backed in the upcoming transfer window after he was appointed as the Red Devils boss until the end of the season.

The former Manchester United striker replaced the sacked Jose Mourinho at the end of last week.

Mourinho was dismissed as the Red Devils boss after he masterminded their worst start to a Premier League season.

Manchester United are ready to back his successor Solskjaer in the transfer market with a warchest of £50m according to Gloucesterlive.

It was revealed that the priority is in the centre back and right midfield positions.

Manchester United have been linked with several centre backs including Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld, Leicester City star Harry Maguire, Inter Milan centre back Milan Skriniar, FC Porto utility defender Eder Militao, Napoli centre back Kalidou Koulibaly amongst others.

For the right midfield position, Brazilian international player Douglas Costa is the top transfer target with recent reports claiming that Italian Serie A champions Juventus have rebuffed a £54m bid for the player from Manchester United just six months after he joined the Old Lady permanently from Bayern Munich.
