Club Legend Berates Arsenal Summer Signing After Liverpool Rout

Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown has faulted summer signing Bernd Leno for his part in the disappointing 5-1 loss at the hands of Premier League leaders Liverpool in their meeting at Anfield on Saturday night.
The Gunners legend berated Leno while on was on BBC Match of the Day as he questioned why the Arsenal shot stopper has been starting in goal for the North Londoners ahead of experienced goalkeeper Petr Cech.
He went on to say that there’s a big gap in the quality of the goalkeepers signed by Liverpool and Arsenal.
Premier League leaders Liverpool splashed a then world record fee on Alisson Becker in the summer.
The Reds paid around £67m for the Brazilian international player to secure his transfer from Italian Serie A giants AS Roma during this summer’s transfer window.
He has played a big part in the Reds’ ascent to the top of the Premier League table.
Alisson Becker has kept 12 clean sheets in 20 Premier League games conceding just eight goals in the process.
On the other hand, German international Bernd Leno signed for Arsenal in the summer for around £22.5m and has kept just one clean sheet in the 13 Premier League games that he has started for the Gunners.
