Juventus legend Andrea Pirlo has backed the Italian giants’ bid to sign Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey at the end of his contract with the Gunners in the New Year.
Pirlo talked about the Welshman in an interview with Sky Sports Italia via football-italia as he said that the former Cardiff City midfielder will be a very good addition to an already star-studded Juventus side.
The Italian Serie A champions want to sign Aaron Ramsey on a free transfer but will have to contend with other European heavyweights such as French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Bavarian giants Bayern Munich.
Ramsey has just six months left on his Arsenal deal at the moment and he can start to speak with foreign clubs including Juventus as from the start of the New Year.
Juventus want to sign a Premier League player on a free transfer for the second time in one year following the transfer of Emre Can.
The German international midfielder joined the Old Lady on a free transfer after his Liverpool contract ended last season.
Juventus need to see off both Bayern Munich and PSG in their pursuit of the 27-year-old after the two clubs had earlier been named as favourites for the signature of the player.
