Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has emerged as one of the most sought-after players on the European football stage and interested clubs have learned the asking price required to prise him away from his club as confirmed by his representative Duro Ivanisevic.

His agent revealed that it would take at least a £72m (€80m) transfer fee for the 21-year-old to leave Lyon when the transfer window reopens though it remains to be seen whether the French club will be willing to let a key player exit the Groupama Stadium in the middle of the season.

Tanguy Ndombele has been a consistent performer for Lyon since he returned to the club from a successful loan spell at fellow French top flight side Amiens.

He earned rave reviews for his impressive showings in the double header against Manchester City in the Champions League.

Ndombele and fellow midfielder Houssem Aouar were two of the best players for Lyon over their two Champions League games against the Premier League champions.

Tanguy Ndombele is now a member of the French national team under the guidance of manager Didier Deschamps following his debut against Iceland earlier this year.

He played his first game for France in the 2-2 draw with Iceland in what was an international friendly game in October.
