English Premier League sides Chelsea and Liverpool have been reportedly handed ultimatum by Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas to sort out the transfer of their main target Nabil Fekir latest by January 1 or forget about it.
Both English Premier League sides have shown interest in the player and have both made an approach to the club but they are yet to begin negotiations with the president of the French side tactically calling for that.
Nabil Fekir who is a major member of the French team that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup has interested a number of clubs but the duo English side have emerged as favourites having already established contacts with the club.
A move that would have made Nabil Fekir join the Merseyside club during the last summer transfer window failed despite coming close as a result of injury fears and the Reds are seeking to finally seal a deal in the coming winter transfer market.
However, the French side have shown they are willing to let the star player leave the club but they must have the right offer for him before sanctioning the move.
Nabil Fekir has scored 47 goals for Lyon in 126 Ligue 1 games which include the two goals he has scored in eight games this season.
