It has been revealed that former Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater is top on the list of those that manager Maurizio Sarri wants to sell away from the Stamford Bridge in the winter transfer window which reports in coming days.

The former Napoli boss is alleged to be on the verge of restructuring his squad ahead of next season and is already preparing to do away with some of the players who have not been impactful so far this season.

The England international has not had enough games under his belt so far this season and has been told by the manager that he is free to leave for failing to break into the team.

However, the former Premier League champion has already been linked with a number of clubs with the likes of Fulham, West Ham United and French Ligue 1 outfit Marseille all lined up to have his signature.

Last season, Danny Drinkwater only played 5 games and scored a goal across all competitions but this has been worst with lesser number of games.

His release clause has also dropped to about £20 million in his contract that is to due in 2022.

Meanwhile, suggestions are that Danny Drinkwater could return to his former club where he has memories of success.
