English Premier League side Liverpool are reportedly set to lose their goalkeeper Simon Mignolet to French Ligue 1 outfit Nice in the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.
Reports according to Het Belang van Limburg state that the French Ligue 1 boss Patrick Vieira who is a former player of the North London side Arsenal is not satisfied with the performance of his two goalkeepers and will seek to have a replacement for them both.
Nice have got Yoan Cardinale and Walter Benitez as their first and second choice goalkeeper but they have both not delivered impressive performance with Nice conceding some cheap goals.
Patrick Vieira is therefore keen to have Simon Mignolet join his team knowing that he is unhappy at the Anfield as he has seen just a game so far this season.
Simon Mignolet is being affected by the coming of Alisson Becker from Italian Serie A side as he has now gone down the pecking order in manager Jurgen Klopp’s team.
However, there are suggestions that he could be allowed to leave the Anfield as it is obvious that he is not in the plan of the former Borussia Dortmund boss at the moment.
