North London giants Arsenal are ready to listen to offers for midfielder Mesut Ozil according to various reports emanating from the British media.

The Daily Mirror claim that new Arsenal manager Unai Emery has not been impressed with the work rate shown by the 2014 World Cup winner in recent times hence the reason why the German was dropped from some Arsenal games.

It was further revealed that the Gunners are ready to listen to offers for him when the January transfer window reopens in ten days time but they could struggle to move him on as a result of his big wages.

Mesut Ozil signed a new three-year contract worth £350,000 on a weekly basis earlier this year (February).

The recently retired German international star still has two-and-a-half years left on the contract he signed.

Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan are interested in signing him but the Nerazzuri are likely to propose a loan deal for Ozil.

The former Werder Bremen and Real Madrid player has fallen out of favour with Unai Emery leading to the decision for him to be dropped from the Arsenal starting XI in recent games.

Ozil was dropped from the Arsenal squad for the Carabao Cup 2-0 quarterfinal loss to North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night with Unai Emery citing tactical reason as the notion behind the decision to drop him.
