English Premier League giants Liverpool are reported to have begun negotiation with RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner as they are prepared to beat other suitors for his signature ahead of the winter transfer window.
Manchester United, Real Madrid and Chelsea are also reported to be interested in the signature of Timo Werner as they all seek to add him to their attacking options in the second half of the season.
However, the Merseyside club are keen for a player of Timo Werner’s quality as they hope to prepare for the second half of the season which promises to be more difficult than the first.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is desperate to deliver his first title as the manager in charge of the Reds in his three years reign since joining from German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.
This season, the German international has had 19 games under his belt and scored a total of 11 goals and made 2 assists across all competitions.
However, Liverpool will have to meet the £65 million release clause on the player whose contract with the club runs until 2020.
The Reds side are on top of the Premier League table and hope to keep hold to the position to lift the title at the end of the season.
