There are fears that English Premier League giants Liverpool might miss out on long-term target Lucas Paqueta ahead of the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.
This is after reports emerged that Manchester United and French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are all now in the race and they are keen to strike a deal with the Brazilian as early as in January, according to reports in the Italian and French press.
According to Calciomercato, both clubs are willing to hijack the deal by meeting with the £45 million price tag on Lucas Paqueta and could even pay more should the club make certain demands.
Lucas Paqueta has been impressive which makes him linked with a number of clubs with West London side Chelsea also interested but have since lost out of the race.
The star striker is looking to follow the footstep of star player Neymar by storming Europe to make an impact with his goals.
So far this season, Lucas Paqueta has had 28 appearances under his belt and has been able to score 6 goals and provided 4 assists.
He is described as a creative player who will fit into most big English sides which is a major reason why it will be a big blow to the Reds should he move elsewhere.
