There is no doubt that Chelsea fans would be in big shock as former goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is linked to a return back to the English Premier League but will be seen in the Redshirts as a Manchester United player.
United are set to part ways with Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea as he has insisted on leaving the Old Trafford despite pleas from manager Jose Mourinho and the management.
Although, a clause of a 12-month extension is reported to have been triggered that will have him forcefully remain at the club but there are plans to either convince him to have a change of mind or either secure a replacement for him.
However, with reports that the former Chelsea keeper is unhappy at Real Madrid, there could be an exchange of Thibaut Courtois for the former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper.
Real Madrid have seen the Spanish goalkeeper as a better option to the Belgium international and will seek to give United a way out knowing that Thibaut Courtois would not mind a return back to the English top flight.
Meanwhile, United are willing to give their nod to the exchange deal having seen the former Chelsea stopper during his spell at the West London.
