jean-Clair Todibo

One of Liverpool’s best central defenders Joe Gomez has been injured and with his absence set to be a major blow for the Reds, there is a need to find a replacement for him.

However, the Reds have reportedly decided to step up a bid for long-term target and Toulouse defender Jean-Clair Todibo, according to a report by The Express.

Though he is 18 years of age, he has been tipped to be one of the most promising defenders in Europe with the impressive performances he has shown and most importantly, making a first-team appearance for his side.

He has got the ability to pair with former Southampton central defender Virgil Van Dijk according to rating by pundits and that is why the Merseyside club have looked his direction.

However, Liverpool have got Joel Matip who started in their last game and Dejan Lovren to fill the game but there are insinuations that the German manager favours Jean-Clair Todibo ahead of the duo.

Jean-Clair Todibo has scored a goal with the 10 games under his belt this season and has been impressive as well.

With the winter transfer window set to reopen in coming weeks, Liverpool will hope to land the young lad so as to continue their dominance for a title win this season.

Liverpool send transfer message to Wolves

Divock Origi

English Premier League leaders Liverpool have given a reply to Wolves that they will not be able to have their wish of securing the signature of Divock Origi in this winter transfer window.

Wolves have longed been interested in the Liverpool forward as they set to strengthen their attack force in order to make a push through the second half of the season.

It was earlier believed that Divock Origi is unhappy at the club for his lack of playing time as he has only been relegated to bench roles behind Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane in the club.

Divock Origi’s only meaningful impact this season was when he came in from the bench to help manager Jurgen Klopp win the Merseyside derby game against Everton in the last minutes.

Opinion are that Divock Origi is still a major member of the team who is needed and will not be allowed to move away from a decision that will no doubt hurt Wolves who have tabled their interest for him already.

With Liverpool already doing away with Dominic Solanke, it will be impossible for them to do away with Divock Origi again as they will be lacking in options for the attack.

Manchester United Youngster

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has debunked loan exit rumours surrounding one of his midfielders in this January transfer window.

Red Devils midfielder Scott McTominay has been heavily linked with a transfer away from the club this month.

The 22-year-old has been touted as a loan transfer acquisition for several Scottish Premiership and English Championship sides.

Ex-Red Devils striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer dismissed the loan transfer rumours during his pre-match press conference ahead of the Premier League clash with Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford on Saturday evening.

Solskjaer said that he does not expect Scott McTominay to leave the club on loan in the current January transfer window.

McTominay has featured just once under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer since the Norwegian was named the interim manager at Manchester United.

He played for the Red Devils during the 2-0 defeat handed out to English Championship side Reading in the third round of the FA Cup.

Manchester United have been a different outfit from the one under Jose Mourinho since Solskjaer took over.

They have won their last six games in all competitions with the latest victory coming in the Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday evening.

Marcus Rashford scored the only goal of the game to hand his side a 1-0 away win over Spurs.

Man United Suffer Big Transfer Blow As Marouane Fellaini Is Ruled Out With Calf Injury

Marouane Fellaini

Three-time European champions Manchester United have been dealt a big transfer blow after midfielder Marouane Fellaini was ruled out of action for a long period.

The Belgian international midfielder is almost certain to miss the next four to six weeks of football action after he suffered a calf injury.

Marouane Fellaini has fallen out of favour at Manchester United since former striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer became the manager.

Norwegian tactician Solskjaer was made the Red Devils manager until the end of the season after Jose Mourinho was dismissed from his job as the Manchester United boss.

The Old Trafford giants were hoping to raise around £15m from the sale of Marouane Fellaini but the latest development might have jeopardized the club’s ability to raise money by selling him.

Several clubs were interested in a transfer for Fellaini and it remains to be seen whether they will retain their interest in him despite the aforementioned calf injury.

European teams like Italian Serie A club AC Milan and Portuguese champions FC Porto have registered their interest in Marouane Fellaini alongside Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande.

Former Everton midfielder Fellaini has played just one game for Manchester United since Solskjaer became the manager and that was in the 2-0 victory over Reading at home in the third round of the FA Cup.

Chelsea keen on Heerenveen winger

Timothy Aiyeku

English Premier League outfit Chelsea are reported to be monitoring Heerenveen winger Arber Zeneli and could make a move for him before this January winter transfer window comes to an end.

Arber Zeneli will be out of contract with his club in June which makes him available this winter with no talks of a new deal on the table for him at the moment.

Should Heerenveen refuse to have the Kosovo international, 23 leave before the end of this month, they risk the chance of losing him for free at the end of the season with the keen interest coming from the West London side for him.

The West London side are on the verge of losing their star player and Belgium international Eden Hazard which makes Arber Zeneli a good fit knowing that he has got age on his side and has shown good prospect.

However, the Blues are reportedly preparing scouts to send to watch his game against Ajax this weekend so as to make a final decision on him.

The Blues will face a number of competitions from English Premier League sides as they are all keen to land the player as well.

Suggestions are that Arber Zeneli will not hesitate to jump into an offer from the West London side when it is finally tabled.

Andy Robertson

English Preemie League leaders Liverpool have been able to convince star defender Andy Robertson into committing his future with the club as they had him a five-year contract extension.

Liverpool had made a lot of effort before succeeding in convincing the Scotland national team skipper who arrived from Hull City for a fee of £8 million.

Andy Robertson is the latest to commit his future to the club after the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Joe Gomez.

The player has expressed his delight at committing his future to the Mersey side club as he hopes to achieve greatness under the German boss Jurgen Klopp.

Andy Robertson made it clear that the club is in need of trophies as he hopes the wait is over for them especially with the team’s current form and unbeaten run in the English Premier League.

However, the Reds are keen on a title win this season knowing that the former Borussia Dortmund boss has not won any title since joining the club some three years back.

Efforts to break the deadlock last season failed as he was defeated n the Champions League finals against Real Madrid as well as finish second behind Man City in the League.

Arsenal Eyeing Move For Dutch Eredivisie Star Lozano

Hirving Lozano

Arsenal are reportedly plotting a transfer for highly rated PSV Eindhoven star Hirving Lozano.

According to the publication from Italian media outlet Tuttomercatoweb, the Gunners are stepping up their interest in the Mexican international.

Arsenal have joined other clubs in expressing their interest in him.

The Gunners have already confirmed that they can only sign players on loan in the current January transfer window but that has not stopped the club from identifying possible signings including Hirving Lozano.

Mexican attacker Lozano has been one of the standout performers in the Dutch Eredivisie over the past two seasons.

He has also been attracting the interest of major European heavyweights like Chelsea and Spanish champions Barcelona though Italian Serie A giants Napoli are believed to be in pole position for him.

Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti is a big admirer of the player with reports claiming that the Italians have already held talks with his agent Mino Raiola.

Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven have already slapped a €40m (£35m) asking price on Hirving Lozano which is a significant increase on the transfer fee required to sign him shortly after last summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.

PSV had earlier slapped a €30m (£26m) asking price on him.

Man United Fail In Bid To Offload Marcos Rojo Three Times

Segun Amuda

Marcos Rojo

It has been revealed that Manchester United tried to offload one of their defenders on three occasions but failed to achieve their aim.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils have tried to sell Marcos Rojo three times.

Argentine international defender Rojo was one of the players signed under the managerial reign of Dutchman Louis Van Gaal (LVG).

Rojo joined Manchester United from Portuguese Super League giants Sporting Lisbon in 2014.

Manchester United first tried to offload him in 2015 and then in 2016 following the £30m signing of Ivorian international Eric Bailly from Spanish La Liga outfit Villarreal in the summer of that year.

The Red Devils tried to get Marcos Rojo off their payroll last year with fellow Premier League side Everton interested in him but his weekly wages proved to be a major stumbling block to a possible move.

Marcos Rojo is one of several Manchester United players with just few months left on their respective contracts and it’s almost certain that the Argentine won’t be offered a new deal that will see him stay at the club beyond this summer.

Club captain Antonio Valencia, Ashley Young, Andreas Pereira, Juan Manuel Mata, and Ander Herrera also have less than six months left on their contracts at Old Trafford.

Man United In Three-Way Battle For Premier League Right-back

Segun Amuda

Published

on

Three-time European champions Manchester United are in a three-way battle in their quest to sign one of the young prospects on the Premier League scene.

The Daily Mirror claim that the Red Devils have to battle with rivals Manchester City and Chelsea for Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

It was revealed that the three clubs have been scouting the young England defender.

The 21-year-old has been in sensational form for the Eagles in what’s his breakthrough season in the colours of the South London club.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has played all but one of the Eagles’ Premier League games this season and that was because of suspension.

Wan-Bissaka has replaced Joel Ward as the first choice right-back at Crystal Palace.

Manchester United will have to fend off the interest of both Manchester City and Chelsea for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The Red Devils want to improve their squad on the defensive front in the wake of a very poor defensive record this season.

Manchester United have conceded 32 goals alone this season in 22 league games this term in addition to just four clean sheets all season.

The Red Devils defence was back to the best at the weekend after they kept a rare clean sheet in the 1-0 away win over top four rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
