English Premier League side Chelsea are reported to be preparing a bid for Juventus star midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur ahead of the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.
With the Blues already firing with a shock win over league leaders Manchester City, the mood has been positive and they are now lifted to want to add more signings in order to be able to push for a title win.
Rodrigo Bentancur has been identified as that high class player that will fit into the Blues team as well as serve as a good option for Jorginho and N’Golo Kante when they are injured.
Also, Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas and former Leicester City star Danny Drinkwater seem to be on their way out of the Stamford Bridge which means a new addition is inevitable ahead of the second half of the season.
Spanish side Barcelona and the North London side Arsenal are reported to have shown interest in the player but they have missed out of the race from every indication with the Blues looking to have a free ride for Rodrigo Bentancur’s signature.
Rodrigo Bentancur has played a total of 13 games so far this season and has clinched 2 goals and one assist for his side.
