Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tim Sherwood has revealed that defender Toby Alderweireld will leave the club at the end of this season.

Tim Sherwood is a Premier League legend and a former Tottenham Hotspur manager.

He was part of the Blackburn Rovers team that won the 1994/95 Premier League title.

The English Championship side were the second team to win the Premier League title after Manchester United.

Tim Sherwood captained Blackburn Rovers to the league title and he talked about Toby Alderweireld in an interview monitored by the Daily Express.

He was reacting to the decision to drop the Belgian international centre back from the Tottenham Hotspur starting XI during the weekend’s 4-2 loss to Arsenal in their London Derby clash in the Premier League.

Tim Sherwood said that Tottenham are already preparing for life with the former Atletico Madrid and Southampton player.

Toby Alderweireld is facing an uncertain future at the club with six months remaining on his current Spurs deal though the North London outfit can activate the additional year clause in his Tottenham Hotspur contract thus taking him till the summer of 2020.

Alderweireld has been linked with a transfer to Manchester United and they can get him for just £25m at the end of this season based on the clause in his contract.
