Italian Serie A giants AS Roma have joined the list of clubs in the running for Manchester United defender Eric Bailly with the view to a potential move for him when the transfer window is opened in the coming weeks.
Italian news portal calciomercato via 101greatgoals claims that the Italian capital club wants to make a move for him in the New Year.
AS Roma have already qualified for the first knockout stage of this season’s Champions League and the acquisition of Eric Bailly could be an informed decision on the part of the club.
The Italians have joined other interested parties like AC Milan, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the race for the 24-year-old.
Eric Bailly is top on the list of Manchester United players linked with a move away from the club.
The former Espanyol centre-back has fallen out of favour with Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho and that has played a major role in the transfer rumours.
Bailly started the season in the Manchester United starting XI only for him to pay the price for a poor start to the new campaign.
He was one of the players axed from the team by the Manchester United manager.
Other players like Alexis Sanchez and Andreas Pereira were also dropped from the Manchester United squad.
