Liverpool loanee Allan Rodrigues de Souza has suffered a major setback after suffering a major knee injury which led to the tearing of his ligament.

The Brazilian who is currently on loan with Frankfurt suffered the injury in training according to German outlet Kicker and will be out until 2019. He is reported to have left Germany to Melwood and will head straight to the treatment room.

Allan Rodrigues de Souza has been on loan in the German Bundesliga not just to secure a regular playing time but to be able to secure a working permit in Europe.

He has played in Finland, Belgium, Cyprus and now Germany so as to be able to gain the needed experience to compete in the robust Liverpool team but that is exacted to take longer period with the player already set aback for many months of his career.

Allan Rodrigues de Souza has had starts this season and coming from the bench on two occasions which means he is not an active member of the German outfit and may not return back to the club when he fully returns.

There are indications that the Red will have him sold as soon as he returns fully instead of sanctioning a loan deal for him.

Mertens Dries

Emerging reports indicate that West London boss Maurizio Sarri is seeking to lure star player Dries Mertens away from Napoli so as to have him pen his signature with the Blues at the Stamford Bridge.

The West London boss and Dries Mertens once worked together at the Italian Serie A outfit Napoli and proved to be a success having scored 34 goals in 46 games in the 206/2017 season and later 22 goals in 49 games the following year.

So far, Dries Mertens has scored in total. 203 goals in 553 appearances which make it a massive reported to tempt the West London boss into having him at the club.

Suggestions are that talian Serie A side will have to do more if they must keep Dries Mertens at the club with interest for her growing stronger.

The Blues have got some negative situation in the team with Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giround currently not in the best of form as they have failed to deliver goals.

The former Napoli boss is therefore keen to add more strength to his team as he hopes to challenge for the Premier League title as well as qualify for the Champions League next season.

With the highly anticipated Premier League game between Liverpool and Manchester United getting closer, there have been some kind words coming from both managers ahead of the game.

What is more interesting is the praise from both managers with the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp stating that his Sunday’s foes, United manager is the most successful manager in the World.

The Merseyside club will host the Red Devils at Anfield with Liverpool sitting top in the Premier League table and having 16 points ahead of United who are sixth place on the log.

The United boss has had a very frustrating season so far as he struggled to win as well as the obvious rift he has had with some of the players which affected the results coming from his side but that will not stop Liverpool boss from regarding him as one of the best.

The German boss stated that he will not like to write off his Sunday opponent, noting that they have got a complete and quality team that can pose a surprise in the game.

Klopp added that United have got one of the best goalkeepers with David De Gea, Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford which will make it difficult for him to judge them by their points.

With the English Premier League race expected to get tougher in the second half, it is expected that most top clubs will storm the winter transfer market for more additions, especially with the big competition now in the league.

This might not be the case with Liverpool after manager Jurgen Klopp gave the hint that his side might not do business in January for obvious reasons.

The German manager is yet to win any title since his three years in charge at Anfield and he has got a chance to have that this season as he sits top in the Premier League table.

While admitting that much has to be done by his squad for more to be able to maintain the lead, he noted that there will be no additions as he also ruled out the early return of Harry Wilson from his loan spell at Derby.

The German boss stressed that the injured players will not be out for long which means there will not be need as he has got some covers for them.

However, the Reds will face Manchester United on Sunday in the Premier League tie and they hope to win to continue their dominance.

de gea

Former Manchester United player Andrei Kanchelskis is adamant that the Red Devils will have to make a big decision over the future of goalkeeper David De Gea at the end of the season.

The Red Devils legend spoke about Manchester United and the De Gea contract situation in an interview with Bwin via the Daily Express.

According to him, Spanish international shot stopper De Gea won’t sign a new contract at Old Trafford thus forcing the club to make a decision about his future next summer when he has just one year left on his present Manchester United deal.

The 28-year-old has become a key player at Manchester United since he joined the three-time European champions from Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid in 2011 in a deal worth £19m.

The Spaniard has made over 300 appearances for Manchester United.

He had just six months left on his current deal before Manchester United activated the extra year clause in the contract to take him till the end of next season.

Manchester United could be faced with a big problem next summer if De Gea continues to turn down new contract offers.

Senior Red Devils officials will need to decide whether to sell him or not next summer if the situation remains the same.

Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Juventus are possible transfer destinations for him.

Callum Wilson

West London side Chelsea could see their first signing sealed as early as the winter transfer window is opened after claims that a deal to land Callum Wilson is already in place.

The Bournemouth striker has been having it good so far this season in the Premier League and has scored a total of 8 goals and handed six assists on goals in his first 15 appearances.

Callum Wilson has been sighted by manager Maurizio Sarri as a perfect fit for the club with the bad form of Spanish forward Alvaro Morata and World Cup winner Olivier Giroud.

Reports according to Daily Express claim that the West London side are now confident to pull a deal through with the sum of £30 million in the winter transfer window.

Callum Wilson has been impressive to have earned a call-up to the England national team for the first time this season and that is expected to continue as long as he remains in his good form.

However, Bournemouth are reported to be reluctant in letting Callum Wilson leave the club knowing how difficult it would be to secure a replacement for him.

This gives the West London side a big boost in their pursuit for the star player as they could just move in to submit a bid for him ahead of the winter transfer.

However, they will face battle from Barcelona who are also keen on the signature of their Spanish rivals but reports hint that the 26-year-old will prefer a move to the Premier League where he is sure to have another experience.
