English Premier League giants Liverpool have indicated an interest in star winger Iker Muniain who currently plays for Spanish outfit Athletic Bilbao.

This according to reports could mean the end of Swiss international Xherdan Shaqiri as he could be sacrificed for the coming of Iker Muniain.

The report says the Spanish side will receive an official offer from the English Premier League side for Iker Muniain whose contract is believed would expire at the end of the season.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is seeking to bolster his attack force with Iker Muniain believed to be a good fit for the club and will add to the quality of the team.

He is believed to have gotten a clue of how to make good use of the winger having felt the impact of the former Stoke City winger in the team despite not having enough playing time.

Shaqiri has seen just four games since joining Liverpool which makes the boss unsatisfied with his performance.

However, Shaqiri could be asked to leave so as to accommodate Iker Muniain in the team with Real Betis ready to move in for him anytime he would be available.

Reports hint that Shaqiri will also be ready to move away from the Reds if he is handed the right deal.
