Premier League giants Arsenal have concluded plans to make a big bid for highly rated AS Roma winger Cengiz Under during the mid-season transfer window scheduled to start as from the 1st of January.
According to the publication from popular English media portal Daily Star, the Gunners will make a £44m bid for the Turkish international winger in the New Year.
Cengiz Under is one of the hottest prospects on the European football scene.
The 21-year-old has been in impressive form for the Italian capital club since his move to AS Roma in the summer of 2017.
He scored eight goals in 32 games in all competitions in his debut season for the Italians.
Cengiz Under was a prominent figure in the AS Roma side that finished third at the end of the Italian Serie A season and also reached the semifinals of the Champions League in the last campaign.
Arsenal are keen to find a replacement for the injured Danny Welbeck in the New Year.
Welbeck is almost certain to miss the majority of the season after he sustained a serious ankle injury in the Gunners’ last Europa League meeting with Portuguese Super League giants Sporting Lisbon just before the international break.
