Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny could be on his way out of North London when the winter transfer window reopens after he was transfer-listed at the club.

The Egyptian international star is surplus to requirements at Arsenal and the Gunners are open to the idea of selling him in the New Year.

According to the publication from The Sun via 101greatgoals, Leicester City are long-term admirers and the Foxes could make a move for him.

A bid of around £15m would be enough to sign him from the North London giants.

Mohamed Elneny joined the Gunners during the mid-season transfer window in 2016 from Swiss Super League side FC Basel in a deal reported to be worth £11.25m.

Since his transfer to North London, the 26-year-old has scored ten goals and provided eight assists in all competitions for the Gunners.

He has made 144 appearances for Arsenal.

Mohamed Elneny was recently part of the Egyptian team that reached the final of the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) before losing to eventual winners Cameroon.

He also represented Egypt at this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.

His country finished at the bottom of Group A behind Uruguay, tournament hosts Russia and Saudi Arabia.
