Former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has ruled out a loan move back to the club.

The 37-year-old dismissed transfer rumours linking him with a move back to Europe in an interview monitored by the Independent.

The LA Galaxy player revealed that he’s not ready to shift his focus from the Major League Soccer (MLS) side.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was in an inspired form for his team in the just concluded MLS season thus prompting rumours linking him with a return to former clubs AC Milan and Manchester United.

He scored 22 goals in 27 appearances for LA Galaxy but the Swedish football legend was unable to fire the team to the playoffs.

With the latest development, the former Sweden national team captain won’t follow in the footsteps of previous MLS stars like Landon Donovan, Robbie Keane and David Beckham.

The aforementioned football icons spent their MLS off-season on a short-term loan to Europe.

Several media reports had earlier stated that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is interested in a move for him.

The Manchester United boss have had to deal with an out-of-sorts striker Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian is currently out injured but he has not scored in his last nine appearances for the Red Devils.
