Arsenal director Raul Sanllehi has revealed that plans are in place to put an end to the incessant player contract saga at the North London club.
Sanllehi, who is the director of football at Arsenal, confirmed his resolve to put a stop to players running down their contracts in an interview via theguardian.
Raul Sanllehi has made a big impact since he joined the club from Spanish champions Barcelona.
He was part of the three-man Arsenal panel that masterminded the appointment of Unai Emery as the new Gunners’ boss.
Arsenal have been in the spotlight for the last few weeks over the contract standoff with Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey, who’s in the last year of his current deal at the club.
This is the latest contract feud to rock the club following previous situations involving ex-players like Robin Van Persie, Samir Nasri and Alexis Sanchez.
Ramsey is reportedly on the way out of Arsenal after the North Londoners withdrew their contract offer to him.
The club had earlier offered the 27-year-old the chance to double his £110,000 weekly salary only for Ramsey to hold out for more money.
His huge financial request was said to have played a big role in the Gunners’ decision to withdraw the contract offer.
